The Wolfling Project

I tried my new SM 1500 point list. Got worked over by Niki's Dark Angel Deathwing.

My mistakes:

- I combat squadded the Sternguard, and should have kept them together.

- I forgot to deploy my Predator with A/C, so I was playing 60 points short.

- Not giving the Tac Squad Sergeants powerfists was a biiig mistake.

Observations:

- Tigurius is more fragile than expected for a 230-point special character.

- Niki made almost every damn cover and invuln save (!) so his termies were especially difficult to handle.

- New people try to set up wide fire lanes (3"+) and courtyards for armor / deep striking (4" x 4" or more) in Cities of Death games. Do everything you can to prevent them from arranging the board like that. It's a cityfight, not city-light.

- An army that focuses on MEQ comes up short for TEQ. :(

- Melta speeders + locator beacon = happiness.

- Dreads that have to walk suck in CoD. Just like normal.

An excellent game, learned some more tactics and finer points of rules. Despite the beatdown it's good to get schooled.
